I am having problems uploading photos at the moment.......sorry. I will keep trying but in the meantime for those of you who requested some bush poetry..........
ON TO TAMWORTH (dedicated to Brian)
We set out on our way
One hot January night, I mean day
To head south to see the lands
And listen to some country bands
First to Toowoomba, Brisbane and Casino
We stopped at a little place called Ebor
Flies and frost was what we encountered
We wondered what we had entered
On to Tamworth and the heat
Flies and dust and people to meet
All the music to be found
Everywhere you went around
Buskers on in the streets in droves
Playing music about woes and loves
In Target and all the shops
Stopping where they could find a spot
Cowboy boots and cowboy hats
Old and young, some sing like cats
Many people sit and watch
Grey nomads have found their patch
Country music, flies and heat
A better crowd you couldn't meet
Everyone goes to have some fun
Wouldn't you like to be one
My next poem will be called Daylight Saving.
