Bowsers, Wowsers and Peppercorn Trees

Greetings from Narrandera!
The last two nights we stayed at Ariah Park (their catchprase is the heading) about 100klms from here. What a lovely little place............about 500 people and no shops! Trust me Canberra shops were excellent!! We read about the campsite which was $10 per night with power and bathroom and laundry, even free washing machine. What a bargain! We really felt like a day off so we had it there. We spent the afternoon at the swimming pool because it was so hot.
The air show was very good if you like aeroplanes and Keith does!! You would have enjoyed it too Brian. I forgot to mention before that when we were in Bathurst we took the bus around Mt Panorama and then visited the Car Museum!! I think that is why I was given some shopping time in Canberra!!

Now the poem you have all been waiting for

I HATE DAYLIGHT SAVING
I am a true Queenslander
I have been told
I hate daylight saving
Lo and behold

We get up at eight
And it feels like seven
Everything gets so late
We go to bed at eleven

A Queenslander I am
A Queenslander I'll stay
I hate daylight saving
What more can I say

Now I will also try and publish some photos

  1. This bloke reminded me of Keith waiting while you shop. Hope you can get your photos to upload, if not you can always email them to me to add. Either that or I'll find some that suit the text from 'my sources'. Nice poem, what does it matter what time it is to you, you're on holiday anyway! Bloody Queenslanders!

  2. Poor old daylight saving - gets a bad rap from those who can't adjust their watch/clock. I bet the bus was pushing the limit around Bathurst - I bet it was faster than most Holdens.
